My own this time. Small party though, just me, my parents and my grandparents. Sis and her boyfriend are off abroad.

Hmmm, maybe next year we should plan it so we can come to eachother's parties...

There is another Mother's Day that gets celebrated in this province in autumn. So not only does mom get to have two Mother Days (because we never remember which one we celebrate so we do both) and I tend to stock up gifts in case such a day sneaks up on me unnoticed. Luckily my mother is very easy to get gifts for, the way she devours books.

Two?!? Oh my goodness, that would be horrible. My mother is so difficult to buy something nice (and lasting) for!
This year we had to buy her a tablecloth. It's what she wanted, but it's just so... so... I don't know. Not fun to give.
If stocking up is an option, that's a very good idea though! I do jot down titles for books I think my father is interested in occasionally but buying in advance would be difficult. >_<
