Thomas M. Disch RIP
RIP
Thomas M. Disch, suicide, July 4th. One of the greats of the 60s and 70s New Wave, though always pretty acerbic, and apparently got even more cranky and eccentic with the years. The Genocides, Camp Concentration, 334 (especially "Angouleme") , "White Fang Goes Dingo" (marketed in America under the more SF-acceptable title "Mankind Under the Leash") "Casablanca", "Along the Asian Shore". Also a fairly-widely published poet, under the name Tom Disch, and apparently became a reasonably-well selling horror writer in his later years. Bizarrely, probably most known as the author of "The Brave Little Toaster" series.
