One of my best friends in grade school did lent with me one year- she was protestant but she said she just liked the idea. Now I'm not even Christian but I still like the idea. I don't know if I'll give up anything specifically but I think I'll just do my best to eat well and exercise and sleep and do homework and take care of myself spiritually. Just in general. i think that's a big part of Lent- it's not limited just to giving up one particular thing.
Oh yeah, and for Mardi Gras we bought a huge cheese cake and a bottle of wine and enjoyed it with some friends and played Halo 3. I'm telling you, that cheese cake was heaven. Last edited by katya : 02-06-2008 at 01:04 PM. |
