I can definitely see him on the drums!

And I even saw this big kind of folk timpini-type drum today that would just be a total kick to have, but alas, too expensive!!!

Für Elise is very pretty, and really not hard to play at all - keep at it Pieces don't have to be difficult to be beautiful - some of my favorite pieces of Chopin are very simple (well, relatively simple at least...)

My lovely harp has 3 octaves plus 4 more notes at the top, so 26 strings. It comes up to about mid-chest on me (I'm fairly tall) so it's pretty transportable. Not like a flute or anything but not bad, esp. compared to my mom's big honkin' full-sized lever harp (the kind you see in orchestras).

(I think that I'll prob. inherit that harp one day, since I'm the only one of the kids that plays, and honestly, I wouldn't know what to do with it!! I mean, it rather dominates a room ... But it's really nice to play ... aw, heck, I'd prob. keep it! But my mom says that when a string pops on that thing, it's enough to give you a heart attack! It's bad enough when a string pops on my little harp - I can't even imagine it popping on Big Bertha! She says it's loud enough to wake her up at night, and she's upstairs and the harp is downstairs.)

edit - I just remembered that my harp is in the picture of me on the picture thread - you can see it behind me, over my shoulder.
