Again, welcome to Entmoot Maitimo!
What a great literature teacher. I'm impressed the teacher not only had read the Silmarillion but seemed to remember so much from it. Must have been a true Tolkien fan. Tolkien thought the Finnish language was very beautiful. Maybe that influenced him to give Maedhros the name Maitimo too. Maitimo means "well-shaped one" in Quenya.
