Pete and Repeat

There is a famous video installation by Bruce Nauman called Clown Torture; one of the clowns is forced to repeat the following child ryme
"Pete and Repeat were sitting on a fence. Pete fell off; who was left?"
"Pete and Repeat were sitting on a fence. Pete fell off; who was left?"
"Pete and Repeat were sitting on a fence. Pete fell off; who was left?"
"Pete and Repeat were sitting on a fence. Pete fell off; who was left?"

For some reasons it reminds me of the General Messages board of this forum
