Actually I had never seen the actor who portrayed Elrond before. I gotta admit, the guy was fantastic!
Very exotic looking fellow, for sure, and I think he captured the haughtiness of an immortal and the "humanity" [sic] of the Half-Elven lord, the Herald of Gil-Galad, perfectly. I got SUCH a thrill at the mention of the line of Numenor! Too cool! Plus, he added a touch of humor, and I thought that was a wonderful addition.
