History lovers? Maybe you can help me
This summer I've been given a list of books for my advanced placement european history class. I'm required to read two and write a thesis for each.
I've already picked "The Life of Thomas More" by Peter Ackroyd, but I'm not sure which other I should choose. If you have read any of these, perhaps you could suggest which would be the most enjoyable read? Here's the list: "The Feud That Sparked the Renaissance: How Brunelleschi & Ghiberti Changed the Art World" by Paul Robert Walker "Guns, Germs, and Steel" by Jared Diamond "The Haunted Land: Facing Europe's Ghosts After Communism" by Tina Rosenberg "Lenin's Tomb" by David Remnick "Longitude: The True Story of a Lone Genius Who Solved the Greatest Scientific Problem of His Time" by Dava Sobel "Martin Luther" by Dr. Martin Marty "A Room of One's Own" by Virginia Woolf "The Sun King" by Nancy Mitford "Wittgenstein's Vienna" by Allan Janik and Stephen Toulmin Once again, I'd really appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.
