A sonnet about Faramir/Eowyn
I had to write a sonnet for school, and came up with this.
We were both nearly dead, When by the king we were healed. We had both fallen on the Pellennor Field...s A week, the king had said I should stay in my bed I had been hurt as the sword I did wield. And my arm was broken behind my shield. So I was left behind while to battle they sped. Alone, until I met the Steward of Gondor. We looked East, where the battle was being fought. Then, when it was won, we kissed in sight of all. The evil to the East was no more. He and I had found the healing we sought. And our love for eachother was not small.

"'I would,' said Faramir. And he took her in his arms and kissed her under the sunlit sky, and he cared not that they stood high upon the walls in the sight of many. And many indeed saw them and the light that shone about them as they came down from the walls and went hand in hand to the Houses of Healing." |
