Since a = b (from given)

(a^2-ab)=(ab-ab)=0

so
'2 (a^2 - ab) = a^2 - ab
becomes 2 (0) = (0)
which is 0 = 0 not 2 = 1

Or you would get an undefined value since division by zero (0) is undefined.
