Celebreg responded, "Well, the henchmen he urged to attack us were all locals. I suspect he came here alone, and with money to hire some ruffians for such a purpose. He'll have to wait until morning if he wants to buy a horse - and even THAT may be tricky to do up here. But he has three options for leaving town, as I see it; To walk out, for which I think he would surely wait for daylight - and which I doubt he would attempt - he'd have a long way to go, I'd wager. Next, he could steal a horse, which he might do tonight, but then he has to choose between riding through half of Rohan on one of their stolen horses - or taking the 'Paths of the Dead' south from Dunharrow - through the mountains... and neither of THOSE could seem an appealing option. His best bet, I'd say, is to take the money he won't have to pay his hired men - and spend it on a new horse... thanks to the quick-thinking of these two youngsters."
