well...

I have to agree with you, Darth and fat middle.

Samwise, I don't think Sauron was destroyed.

For instance, Gandalf says this, confirming what Fat Middle wrote : (from the Last Debate)

Anyway, I am prepared to accept Gandalf's authority on this point, him being a Maiar in Middle Earth himself .
