Yes, I feel the same way too. They could have maintained the spirit of the book...others can do it in a simple song (Blind Guardian) why couldn't they do it in a whole movie (not to mention TTT ).
When seing ROTK sometimes I feel like: "God what were they thinking..."
Though I agree that other scenes were great
