Rock Is Dead

Rock is Dead, unfortunate but true me and a friend were talking about music the other day and i was arguing that even though we should have the ability to make better music nowadays than say 30 years ago (we have all the resources they had only now we have more and better) music is in its dark ages, he says that i am stupid and that music has gotten better its just a few losers are pulling modern musics image down... i think there are only a handful of modern artists that i would give up my time and listen to, Marilyn Manson, NIN, Audioslave and a few others... this list compared to old Giants of the music world Pink Floyd, the Beatles, David Bowie, Queen, Bob Dylan, Nick Cave (still going great guns though ) etc etc etc... please give your views and add any of your fav musicians to the great old or great new catagories.
