Let it go already...

Ok, I just wanted to post something, because it's really annoying to come to the forum and see every thread ruined by the same people posting the same things over and over and over again. We heard your opinions, do you really need to keep complaining, bitching and bashing? I mean, the fact that it has resorted to name calling and grouping those who like the movies into certain categories is beyond me. I respect your opinions, but do you have to inundate us with the same things that you've been repeating for the past 2 years? It's gotten pretty old very quickly and I've haven't even been here for a year!

If you don't like the movies so much, then don't see them. No one is making you see them and no one is going to kill you if you don't. I'm only posting this, because frankly, I don't even want to read threads in this forum anymore, because everywhere I look another thread has been ruined by more bashing and complaining of the same stuff.

I have no problem with having civil discussions, but the way it's been lately, is going overboard on both sides of the table. Some people who love the movies are out of line and some who hate the movies are out of line too.

I come here to have fun and discuss books that I have loved for a long time and now movies that I have enjoyed for the experience of the world I love coming to life. It's getting old and annoying. I could be doing better things with my time, instead of getting pissed about people *****ing on everything and everyone...

Sinome maruvan ar Hildinyar tenn' Ambar-metta!' - And those were the words that Elendil spoke when he came up out of the Sea on the wings of the wind: 'Out of the Great Sea to Middle-earth I am come. In this place will I abide, and my heirs, unto the ending of the world.'

'Then Tuor arrayed himself in the hauberk, and set the helm upon his head, and he girt himself with the sword; black were sheath and belt with clasps of silver. Thus armed he went forth from Turgon's hall, and stood upon the high terraces of Taras in the red light of the sun. None were there to see him, as he gazed westward, gleaming in silver and gold, and he knew not that in that hour he appeared as one of the Mighty of the West, and fit to be father of the kings of the Kings of Men beyond the Sea, as it was indeed his doom to be; but in the taking of those arms a change came upon Tuor son of Huor, and his heart grew great within him. And as he stepped down from the doors the swans did him reverence, and plucking each a great feather from their wings they proffered them to him, laying their long necks upon the stone before his feet; and he took the seven feathers and set them in the crest of his helm, and straightway the swans arose and flew north in the sunset, and Tuor saw them no more.' -Of Tuor and his Coming to Gondolin
