new Tolkien biography
I just heard of a new JRRT biography out Tolkien and the Great War, by John Garth. It's supposed to be concerned with WWI and its influence on the legendarium, over 300 pages compared to Humphrey Carpenter's chapter or two. Has anyone read it, is it worth getting? (I already have several general biographies).
Oh, yes, CT gave Garth access to private papers (I don't know if they were anything Carpenter didn't see or use).
