Attack of the Triffids

Can you say attack of the evil Ents:

When a meteor crshes into earth, insane stuff happens. Everyone who saw the meteor became blind, so planes and ships and cars crash like crazy. Also radiation from the meteor makes trees turn into hidious moving monters. Finally it is found out that you can kill the evil Ents (Triffids) with salt water. Hoever, there is no cureness for blindness.
