Favorite and most memorable characters

Well from LOTR I favor Gollum and Gandalf. As for other books:

Margaret Alton Hastur from the Darkover series
Jill, Puddleglum and Lucy in Narnia Chronicles
All characters in The Last Unicorn
Moiraine and Perrin and Min from WOT
Scout in To Kill A Mockingbird
Mara Jade from the Star Wars novels

Memorable characters for me are Peter Pan (because thats the first story I ever remember hearing)and The Little Match Girl. Oh yeah also Quasimodo, The Phantom of the Opera, and Macbeth.
