If Feanor had lived and "reconciled" with Fingolfin and his hosts, I wonder how the Siege of Angband might have played out? Feanor was in Tolkien's own words, the mightiest of the Children of Illuvatar. He and Fingolfin together would have been a mighty team!

But, I also wonder how Thingol would have reacted. His wrath was very great concerning the kinslaying. War may have erupted between Beleriand and hosts of the North, and Morgoth would have been laughing his butt off as a contented spectator.
