The official "What's the Elvish?" thread
I have a question about an Elvish word, and, seeing as there aren't any threads for this, I thought I'd start one.
A friend is creating an Elf in the LOTR RPG, and he wants his name to mean Silver Arrow. He found a site which had a translator into Sindarin, which wasn't very accurate in Elvish. It had pilin as Sindarin for arrow, and I just wanted to know if the more learned speakers of the Elvish-tongues would verify this, or inform me that it's incorrect. P.S. Do Silvan Elves use Sindarin names?
