Religion, is it really good for you?

I would like, if I may, to take you on a strange journey.

Reading all the replies on gay, lesbian and so on I think a discussion on religion, especially the christian believes and their influence on our world might be interesting. I was surprised how many people in Entmood argue with the bible, what there is written and what it means for everyday´s life.

Just to start the discussion:

I think that the christian religion has come to exist because Paulus could not accept that the end of the world and the reign of god didn´t come within his lifetime. So he had to tell all the communities which are adressed by his letters to wait until St. Elsewhere. (Some of these letters are held to be falsifications by some scientists).

This is what the german scientist DESCHNER says. Could he be right?
