I totally agree with you; I think all the studying, analysing, etc. that you do in Lit. has a tendency to ruin the story. If it weren't for that, I'd probably love Literature! As it is, I only like it.

but when you pick it apart like that you learn all of its intricacies--the secrets behind what makes it beautiful. Except maybe if the piece of literature in question is Caesar's war commentaries.
