I think the Encyclopedia of Arda you are thinking of Elfhelm whose page hasn't been coming up lately is an ok source, but like I said in another thread, to me it doesn't seem to be updated often, because they still show Orodreth as the son of Finarfin, and Gil-galad as the son of Fingon.
