Each of the movies has to be made to stand alone, since the public is not terribly careful about remembering every little detail in the first movie, so they will understand the second.

Personally I'm getting sick of the constant fangirl onslaught in the movie forum. Can we please discuss something other than the amount of Legolas's lines, how cool his hair is, or how "yum" Aragorn is? Really...

Yup, but I do think Azalea and Crickhollow are doing a good job keeping that kind of stuff to a minimum......nice work there
