I was watching FotR for the 10th or 12th...

...time the other day (Monday)(I was home sick) and I noticed something I hadn't caught before.

Call me slow, dimwitted, not too quick on the uptake, or whatever, but there were Gandalf and Saruman flinging each other around the inside of Isengard when all of a sudden Christopher Lee extends his hands in crooked Dracula-like fashion and snatches Gandalf's staff from across the room. Then he's got Gandalf doing this break-dance thing in circles for awhile before flinging him up onto the top of the tower. Next thing you know, Gandalf is jumping off the side of the tower onto the eagle and making his escape. Saruman/Dracula says, "So, you have chosen the way of death," or something like that. But here's what I want to know.

When did Gandalf get his staff back and how?

He didn't have it with him when he leaped off the tower onto the eagle. But he does have it again when they leave Rivendell.

Did anyone else notice that?
