Good authors!
I just read a short story by Kurt Vonnegut, called 'Harrison Bergron.' I liked it.
My favorite authors:

Tolkien (of course)
Sir Arthur Conon Doyle (Sherlock Holmes)
Douglas Adams (Watership Down)
Irene Hunt (Across Five Aprils, about the Civil War, anyone read it?)
Poe!!!(I loved the Telltale Heart, and the Raven, and...I just like morbid stuff)
Louisa May Alcott (Little Women)
L.M. Montogomery (Anne of Green Gables)
Sir Thomas Malory (Mort Darthur)
Washington Irving (Rip Van Winkle, the Sketch Book)
Louis Sachar (Holes, a Newberry winner, light but good writing)
Wilson Rawls (Where the Red Fern Grows, Summer of th]Monkeys [awful movie, great book])
