The hairdresser's 'Ã* la maison' of course also has the added benefit of being open after hours, on Sundays and without appointment. Which is usually a more defining aspect than the financial one.

I just found the greatest thing ever.... it's a program called 'genius' (it's for Mac) and it's basically a flashcard thing, but it's set up so that it automatically reviews you on the information and then you can use it as flash cards.
I love it because I always lose my friggin' flash cards when I make them, but this keeps them totally organized and I can make tons and tons of them, and restructure questions, and do multiple ones that ask the same question in different ways without wasting a bunch of paper. |

At last! I've been holding my breath
Then it arrived right on schedule, didn't it?

"I love it so much already"... This thread really makes you feel better if you read it all at once. I'm pretty excited myself. Everyone knows I'm engaged, but I'm planning and I just keep thinking about how great it will be once I'm married! That's probably the best part; I wouldn't allow myself to do that when we were dating. I didn't want to get all depressed thinking about something that I didn't know when it would come.
In addition, I'm listening to Taylor Swift (again!) and I'm done with all my hard finals! "His favorite color's green, he loves to argue, born on the 17th!" Actually, that kind of describes my fiance. *hee hee* I have a fiance!

Wow, it's been a while since I was here last.. 8D No worries though, I've been quite happy even though I haven't put it here in the happiness thread.
I've been quite busy with studies and other things, which is why I have been absent. But for the sake of the good old times, when I used to come here and tell most news asap, I thought I'd come here and drop the bomb too: I'm getting married on Monday, December 21st, also known as the winter solstice. It's a civil marriage and we won't be having a wedding party yet, but we'll probably (have to) have a party sometime next year. Such are the demands of parents. I'll try to be back soon, and see how everyone's doing.. I hope all is going well here. This is a fun place to be. And if anyone's interested, this is what I'll be spending many, many days with..

What a fantastic bomb to drop, Nerdanel! Congratulations!
(It looks like your fiancé has gone into hibernation... Be sure to wake him up for the wedding )

A weekend with good friends, dainty sandwiches, exotic tea, spiced wine, saffron buns and all kinds of tasty stuff you can imagine.
Twice. And somehow I still managed to find time to study plentifully and sufficiently for my exams tomorrow and on Tuesday. And catch up with my recent lack of sleep. I'm in a flow

I'm happy to be home again
I had a great time in the UK. Nerdy, again: congrats! Jon, sounds nice! Could you maybe give some of that roll to me so I might finish all my work before the deadline?
