Sweet, I got a raise! Into my sig it goes!
Psst...how can we have two Grand Admirals? Me and TB? Or at least, I was told I was a grand admiral.

Comes in through the Café elegantly woodworked swing doors.
"Hi Gang, how ya doin'. Waitress a cup of tetley and almondpaste sandwhich please!" (that is two slices of white bread, buttered, and with two thin slices of almond paste between them. It's delicious, I recommend you try it.). Last edited by Grey_Wolf : 12-01-2005 at 03:17 PM. |

At this time of the year I think the Teacup Café will be the perfect place for me to sit comfortably with a cup of mulled wine with almonds and raisins in one hand and some gingerbread biscuits on a plate next to me.
This is one of the things I love about the weeks before Christmas.

Oh, yes, I've not made mulled wine in ages. It's great on a cold evening.

Its what brendan told me, I dunno. Either way, I kick ass with or without a title.
Mulled wine? My parents gave me that when I was a kid...been a while since I had it!

What exactly is mulled wine? It sounds tasty but the term 'mulled' confuses me. It always makes me think that the wine has been sitting in a barrel thinking for a really long time, as in the phrase 'mulling things over'... How about some spiced cider instead?

Cider is good too. My mulled wine is made with a good burgandy, heated over a low flame -don't let it boil- with several cloves and a tablespoon of honey. Then stir with a stick of nutmeg in it and a few moments pour it out....make sure you're sitting down.

Mulled wine. I had ulled wine once at a Christmas banquet at a college where the theme was strictly medieval - that was a killer banquet! They had it all, from everyone dressed in appropriate costume, the food, the singing and musical instruments, and yes, mulled wine. Kinda weird and spicy for my taste, but definitely tastes Christmasy.

Is it your birthday TB?
I had a lab exam in entymology today. It was really really hard. It's 11pm, but at least I can have virtual coffee. *sips* One of the species on it was the Timberworm. This huge chomper is the largest wood borer in BC. Check this out: (courtesy of UBC Forestry) Ergates spiculatus is huge, it's about 5 cm long!

I got my midterm for sanskrit back today (wait, yesterday, it's 2:30am now), that I had feared I had failed after spending 4 hours on it. I got an A-!
I had made a lot of inconsistent mistakes on the sandhi, but I'm proud of myself. *pours self a mug of sleepy-time tea* I'm off to bed, finally, so that I'm awake for Chinese and Music Theory later today. |

You are taking the raddest courses. This is my 6701th post, so I think I'll join you with some congradulatory tea (but for less important reasons).
I think I managed not to fail the horrendously difficult entymology exam. Didn't get an A- though. Hey, you study etymology, I study entymology... Where is Sanscrit from anyway?

So, everyone ready for my testing of this so-called 'security' of the cafe? I'm planning on letting all the animals from the zoo out, and they are a bit hungry. Alright? *puts on protection glasses*
