Ooooooooooooooh! Those soft leather bound books sound just wonderful. Wish I could afford the payments. My very old paperbacks probably won't make it through another reading. So if I start saving now.......

How do you know the copyright laws have ended? Assuming C. Tolkien is J.R.R. Tolkien's son, then C. Tolkien's copyrights have certainly not ended since he is still alive. Tolkien's son wrote (or continued) some of middle earth's literature.
So let us draw a line between C. Tolkien's works and J.R.R. Tolkien's works. Any grey areas can be can be handed over to C. Tolkien. Leaving J.R.R. Tolkien's works, add 25 years since he has passed away and that should leave literature that is free to the public. |
