What about Moria? It's a bit of a fixer-uper, but it seems nice and roomy!

I'd like to live in Rivendell, or in the Mirkwood, when the darkness is pushed away from it.

Doriath. Lothlorien. anywhere near the Two Trees. (i think i've been to Cuivienen in a few dreams...) Irmo's Lorien would be nice too right now.
and, of course, when i've just had too much Elven splendor, vacations in Gondor & Arnor. aryne * |

I would live on the edge of Elrond's land in a tiny house.

I just realized (via the bumping of this post) that I picked a place that is seperate from Middle-earth.
I would love to have a quiet home in The Land of Willows in the South of Beleriand.

Nan-tathren! Thank you, I couldn't think of the name. Nan-Tasarinan kept popping up in my head, but I wasn't sure. I think that's the Quenderin name that Treebeard used in his song.

I think Hobbiton...it just seems so nice and homely. But I would also like Rivendell...or hey, if they would let me in, Lothlorien.

Yeah, there are definitley plenty of places to travel! Minas Tirith or Moria (once all those orcs are out) would be kinda cool.

I like cool and cold places without much snow, so it's a toss up between the North Farthing of the Shire and the Lonely Mountain. Elvish lands like Rivendell and Lothlorien would be too sad for me to bear, I suspect. Too warm, also.

I was thinking I also would have a hobbit hole near where the tooks live.
And I would still in my house on the edge of Elrond's Land, but I also would have a room in the mountain were smaug ruled for a time.

I would like to live either in Khazad dum near Eregion ( I might be a little tall for that though) or in Eregion near Khazad dum. I would like to see all they smith work and crafting going on as well as dwarves and elves living in friendship. This woud have to be in the begging of the 2nd age though for obvious reasons.

Treebeard mentioned a place where he used to go and spend a week just breathing. I would go to that place and practice tai ch'i. Wherever that may be.
Some Entdraught is definitely recommended for balding men. |

Hmm...I can't really decide. I guess, that I'd get residences from every place of western Middle Earth including at least Grey Havens, Shire, Rivendell, Dale, Lonely Mountain, Minas Tirith, Dol Amroth, Medusel...
Plus lots of travelling at holidays . |

I think that the Shire was probably similar to West Virginia, which is a nice place... I would probably choose the Shire for it's hills and trees or Minas Tirith, because I like cities.

I would travel everywhere, in particular:
Lorien, Rivendelle, visit fangorn, and eventually go into the East with my other elven kin.
