At school today we had a Harry-Potter-themed lunchtime for our school's "Happy Week" - the week preceding the school's feast day. At the Harry Potter Fashion Parade, first place were Fawkes and Dobby, second me - as Lord Voldemort! Very happy... I used the same cloak I hope to use for ROTK. Must remember to pin it up - I tripped over the hem and grazed my knees, hands and face.

I just got the perfect green dress for my costume. It's sleeveless, so I'll be sewing big bellsleeves on it, but other than that it's great I can't wait.

Part 1: The Dress
My dress is ready! ---> picture *doing my best elven suck-up pose*
I'm now working at an overdress and I think after that, I'm doing a cloak. At least the date of the movie-preview is in wintertime, so a cloak will be fine, too. My jewelry is also (nearly) ready. What do you guys think? And when am I going to see pictures of your costumes?

Great dress! And I'll post a pic of mine when I can... (Read as: after ROTK when I've actually got it all together)

But I think, it's allways better to ask, before you get in trouble. By the way, thanks for all those nice compliments about my dress. And I finished my overdress today!

i might borrow a hobbit costume from my good friend who wore it last year.... but i really want my own costume. last year i was an elf warrior, and i had brown pants and a green shirt over a white shirt, but it didnt look very authentic. if i can, i wanna dress up as a black rider this year.... and maybe i can find one of those stuffed pony heads on a stick to use as my "ride"
hehe.... all of us lotr fans, making a difference in the world and scaring people with our pointy swords....

I found a shop the other day with PILES of swords on display... they had ones like famous ones, like a Xena one, and one I swear is straight out of Highlander, the Macleod one, and all these ones but NO LOTR!!! > Silly peoples... but they did have Sauron-eye mugs.
