Who's your favorite singer and why? Mine's Enya, because she pays attention to whats happening and she makes nice music with some sort of instrument.

For female singers I would have to say Kate Bush- she's so way out and funky- plus I can do a wicked impression of her! She's the most amazingly talented singer and writer and I really respect her work. As for male singers, has to be my mate Jonny all the way- for any of you Cats fans out there he played Tugger on the video. He has the most gorgeous voice on the planet. Mx

Singer? Well, the Beatles had really good harmonising, and I like Jim Morrison's sexy singing voice, and Folk singing like Joan Baez, and Bob Dylan, Cat Stevens... Um, what else? Debbie Harry from Blondie has a great voice. I don't tend to like altos/sopranos; I generally prefer men's voices over women's, and those few female singers that I do like tend to have really strong, husky voices, like Aretha Franklin, and Patti Smith.

ummm that bloke that sings Unchained Melody, Maurice Jarre pretty much based on that song... the chick from the cranberries has a good voice aswell... ohhh my god i cant beleive it i have started liking Marilyn Manson so ill say him too

Joe Cocker was one I didn't care for back in the day, but I really turn up the volumn when I hear his stuff on the radio now. His band was such a party! Cry me a river...ooh!

I like Kurt Cobain...he has such a rough, screechy, yet good voice. I also like Chris Cornell from Soundgarden and Audioslave, Aaron Lewis from Staind, Eddie Vedder(Pearl Jam). As for a woman....the girl from Cowboy Junkies, she's pretty good.

i like all all the singers you named except the girl from Cowboy Junkies (never heard of them) and the guy from staind (dont listen to them).
