St. Pattys Day!
TOP OF THE MORNIN TO YA PEOPLE!! Ok be glad you are only reading this and you cant actually hear me mangling a proper Irish accent with my horrible american brouge. Anyway, I was just curious how people around the world celebrate (or view) St. Patrick's Day. Here in America its basically an excuse to sit in a bar all day drinking bad beer dyed green. Americans tend to turn almost every holiday into an opportunity to party really. Part of our nature. From what I understand its not even really that much of a party day in Ireland itself. But in this country the mentality is "what? an ancient Irish priest drove a bunch of snakes into the ocean? This calls for a lot of beer!!"
So clue me in on how St. Patrick's Day is elsewhere in the world. Oh and if you are american and your regional approach to St. Patrick's Day is different from how I described it above lemme know about that too.

Hey St Patty's day is on Purim-double the execuse to get drunk (Purim is a Jewish holiday, where among other things you're supposed to drink). Excellent.

Irish ancestors. Jewish holidays. Hamster birthdays. Friends birthdays. Yep all sound like great reasons to drink green beer. Or green apple juice for the under age crowd.
