'Twas funny indeed. But it was also quite true to the book.
Stop rhyming now, I mean it!

Perhaps I should have said this differently. you don't beleive that PJ's Movies were anything like the books? Fine. So give anyother director a boxed set of LotR books and watch as he butchers them beyond recognition. PJ did a great job- and keep in mind- nothing is ever perfect.

I honestly would rather have none at all. But then, I think it would be better to have a movie which stays true to the original work and isn't highest quality cinema than to have one which is untrue to the book and mangles the characters and has battl scenes and seamless CGI and great battle scenes and great battle scenes and...did I mention the battle scenes?

Well, about comic relief..I think it will stay Merry and Pippin w/ Gimli inserting funny lines now and then. To keep it funny..

even though gimli is a dwarf and he is supposed to be serious and tough i thought it was good that he was funny. i mean he has been hangin out with hobbits men wizards and especially elves, who were a big influence on him. i think in helms deep he was just trying to be optimistic and to cheer people up.i thought it was hilarious when he said he couldnt see and then legolas said "should i get u a box" and then gimli burst out laughing as if it was a challenge.
