I have been having trouble making myself want to go to school lately. The only things really keeping me there are the music and art programs. I'm even missing half a day of school tomorrow for a music thing, and I still don't want to go.
It's horrible. My school looks like a prison, and it feels like one. I can't stand it. It's been getting worse and worse as the year goes on. It's not even that the assignments are all that hard, either. Everything is just so boring, most of it's either useless things I'll never need to know, or, especially in the case of English, a repeat of things I've been doing since third grade. Even my college class is getting on my nerves. I dread getting up in the morning to go. This is really strange, because I've never really 'hated' school before. I LOVE learning. The only reason I've been having any trouble with grades lately is because the assignments are just to dumb for me to attempt them. Home isn't all that great, either. It's not bad, just not great. I think monotony is really hitting me hard.

re finger ouchies - there are indeed finger bandaids! I always have a box of "knuckle and fingertip" bandaids on hand (pun intended ) I have dry skin, and my fingertips sometimes get a little cracked in the winter, and I just pop on one of the fingertip bandaids with a little ointment and it feel so much better. And the knuckle ones work great for scrapes on the joints.
BTW, speaking of fingers, my wonderful sister-in-law is a living exhibit of "keep your hands away from doors, kiddos!". She actually lost the top joint of her right index finger when it got slammed in a heavy door when she was growing up. Now when my little ones are fooling around with doors (so fun to slam them in your siblings' faces!) I can always say "remember your auntie, who lost her fingertip!! - and they stop! She is available to be an example for anyone's kids out there, for travelling expenses and a small fee

Bummer! hate your manager already! Can you possibly please try to ignore him? Think paycheck, paycheck, paycheck! Don't let him get to you! (I know... what are you doing anyway? paycheck-party, paycheck-shopping)

I'm in admin for an inks manufacturing firm. Unfortunately I can not ignore him because a lot of stuff is technical, and if I'm unsure of something - which is a lot of somethings unfortunately (just call me NEWBIE) - I make a point of asking for clarification. *sigh* So, here I am asking about every little detail, and it's got to the point now where he's running away every time he hears me call him...... Plus, he's always breathing down my neck. AAARRRRGGGH!
And you know, funny thing you should say that I should just think of the pay, because last week my pay didn't go through! *sigh* But thanks for the advice; I got a quick laugh.

Career studies. what a non class. If anyone else is in the ontario education system you should know what i'm talking about. Damn mike harris. grrr. I really do not want to watch yet another video about Jim Carrey. Even if he did used to be homeless. GAH! the saddest bit is i'm only getting a 77 in that class and all my assignments have been above 80% except one!

Where shall I start?
Last night when I was working (bartending), some drunk decided to grope me And so I escorted him out, because he was WAY to drunk and called him a cab, I wouldnt let him drive because that would give me liability...I mean because I am a nice person! Anyway, so I boot him, and he decides that his bladder is rather full, and the doorknob of the Bar and Grill place I work looks real inviting...Guess what I got to do? Yeah, that's right, I got to clorox the door. Made me gag a maggot. I was/am in a terrible mood, nobody make any sudden movements!

Philia, you have my deepest sympathy. I, too, did time in the hospitality industry...and still think that EVERYONE should, at some point in their lives, work in a restaurant or bar. The theory being that maybe, maybe, maybe, they will become better customers...
My current hell is a kitchen remodeling project. Why why why do tradesmen make promises they have no intention of keeping? Why why why does everything have to take twice as long and cost twice as much as the original quote? If you can't do it, then be honest and say so!!! If you know that there is a delay, CALL ME and tell me about it...don't wait until weeks have passed and I have to call, be put on hold, leave voice mails, call again until finally I get a human being only to tell me what I already know: there's been a delay. I know, I'm lucky to have a kitchen, period, and am very lucky to have the money to remodel it...BUT THIS PROCESS IS STILL HELL!!!!
