Reach into the depths of your brain and find...
...your earliest memory! (Sorry if this has been done before, I did a search for "memory" and nothing came up that seemed to match.)
For me it's going to visit my great grandmother in Missouri, when she was living in her own apartment, before she got Alzheimer's. Mostly I remember what her apartment looked like, and taking a nap on her bed with my dad, not much else.

Hmmm. This should be interesting. I wonder if anyone's going to claim they rememberbeing in their mothers womb?
This could be a case for mulder....ahem. My earliest memories are all mixed up but i can remember being by the bookcases in nursery and these twins pushed over the bookcases on all the kids in the book corner! I also remember going in to playgroup and my childminder letting the door swing straight into me. I think that that explains the weirdness!

I remember eating a whole bottle of vitamin C tablets back at the age of three.
That's obviously why I'm so healthy today. ]: )

I remember getting my little finger stuck in the hinges of a door when I was 3. I could see all the way to the bone. I was completely fascinated! Never cried or anything, just stared in some bizarre interest at my finger.
Anyway when I was at the hospital they gave me some jelly babies which I liked a lot.

I climbed up and got the family-size bottle of tablets out of the cabinet, and managed to get the child-proof lid off. Citrus flavored. Yum Yum. That was the same year I went to my dad's work, and managed to get into the cash box. The locked cash box. ]: ) BoP has reminded me of another incident. When my younger brother was born, I brought him a rock. A really big rock. Then another time, I smacked him with a stick, and tried to hide it behind my back when my parents asked what happend

Also had this bad "habit" of slamming him in the door. * Riding my "shoe" tricycle down the long flight of concrete stairs after watching a dare-devil program on TV, aged 3 and a half. * Losing my temper after riding down said flight of stairs.

I do remember the womb! It was a strong memory when I was very little of being curled up in the dark while rocking, like I was in a rocking chair, waiting and waiting. I also remember eating the nanny's cigarettes.

I can't distinguish my first memory. I have multiple memories when I was four that were my first ones, but there's about 10 or more.

I remember throwing up on the way to my aunt's wedding, and being told ice cream would make me feel better.
I remember falling down at preschool and having to go in for x-rays becaues I had a bump the size of a goose egg. I cried because it was cookie day and the teachers wouldn't give me one. My first 'vivid' memory would have to be visiting my father in a bus after my parents got seperated, and then hearing my mother say they were getting divorced. Great memories, huh?

My earliest memory was when I was about two. I was climbing onto the piano seat at a house which my Mum used to clean. I also used to get into the toothpaste there, but I don't remember that.

My grandmother did private nursing, and she worked for this family, and one time when I was in my twenties I went with her to their house, and it felt so strange to me. I told her that I had a dream about thier house and that I remembered in my dream that there was a beautiful tiffany lamp on this lovely wood table in the livingroom, and a gorgious grand piano in front of the window. My grandma turned to me along with the man of the house with such surprise on their faces that I had to ask what was wrong. The man said "we did have a grand piano and a stain glass tiffany lamp on the table, but you couldn't possibly have remembered that, cause you weren't even two years old yet". Here my grandma had worked for them all those years, and had taken me there once when I was very small. And all those years, I thought it was just a dream.
