Ignoring Mrs. England's remains, Alex backed out of the room and shut the door with a stern slam. Then he and Tyler ran back down the hall to collect Tasha. They knocked on the door, and saw her peer out of the blinds at them. She unlatched the door and opened it to them, coming out. As they were turning to continue down the hallway the copier suddenly started to rumble to life. Before any of them could say anything Alex growled,
"Oh, to hell with this." And emptied his newly reloaded revolver into the copier, and slammed the door with such force that the glass shattered, then stormed down the hallway ahead of the group. Tyler sighed and guided Tasha along with him. He warned her of what was in the hallway before allowing her around the bend in the hallway. They stepped gingerly around the gore, and met Alex at a "Y" in the hallway. To go right was to go back towards the sanctuary, or more accurately a pair of service rooms abutting it from the rear. To the left was the game room that was their target, as well as several other rooms that served various purposes in the past. Mainly as rooms that bible study was taught in, as well as sleep in rooms for when the church had one of its many lock in events. They planned on using the game room as a base of operations for at least the night, and to use it as a place to reflect on what the pastor had told them.
