Indeed, CC! Which is a mysterious canid from the Andes. In 1927 this man, who's given the species its name, obtained a pelt from a dealer in Buenos Aires, and was told that it came from the Andes. Dr. Ingo Krumbiegel researched this skin in Germany in 1940, and said that it belonged to a new and still indescribable species from the high peaks of the Andes. = Hagenbeck's Wolf Last edited by Grey_Wolf : 02-22-2009 at 02:21 PM. |

Which are chicken-sized, shy, and nocturnal. They nest in deep burrows and use a highly developed sense of smell to find small insects and grubs in the soil. They are notable for laying eggs that are very large in relation to their body size. An egg may equal 15 to 20 percent of the body mass of the female. The smallest species weighs in at 1.2 kilograms (2.6 lb) and 40 centimetres (16 in) tall. = Kiwi Last edited by Grey_Wolf : 02-23-2009 at 01:10 PM. |

Which is a member of a small family of birds, the Anhimidae, which occurs in wetlands of tropical South America. This is a massive 84-95 cm (33-38 in) long, 3.5 kg (7.7 lbs) bird, with a small chicken-like bill. The upperparts, head and breast are black, with white speckles on the crown, throat and wing coverts. There is a long quill projecting forward from the crown, which gives this species its name. The belly and under wing coverts are white. It has two sharp spurs on its wings, and feet which are only partially webbed. The bird's call, as its name suggests, is a very loud U-WHO or honking YOIK-YOK. = Screamers Last edited by Grey_Wolf : 02-25-2009 at 11:59 AM. |

Which are unmistakable birds with their black and white plumage and yellowish legs. The feet are only partially webbed, although it will feed on vegetable matter in the water as well as on land. Males are larger than females. Unlike true variant of the species, the moult is gradual, and there is no flightless period. The voice is a loud honking. = Magpie-Geese
