Oh, why does life have to be so complicated. X) How do you know when friendship turns into something else, and when it's worth risking the friendship for this? I'm utterly confused by this person, and even more so by myself. Argh.
I sort of enjoy it, though - as long as he's still my best friend. That's really all that matters.

I'm sorry you're in such a situation, Nerdanel. That's really, really tough.
I know this might seem weird, and I'm kind of conflicted about it... but... Well the vent itself is that I just wish people would stop turning songs (particularly ones like Over the Rainbow) that are supposed to be sweet and gentle and turning them into power belter ballads. I know people love hearing some good, loud belting... and I do to. So I guess if the music is bringing people joy that's a good thing. But I feel like it could bring them so much more joy if the singer would just interpret the music better. Like... Okay this is how I see it: You can bake a cake, and people will probably love it. But if you put icing on that cake, they'll think it's AMAZING. But it's like people are being given a gigantic cake, and so now they're just gorging themselves on it... so they don't appreciate a smaller but more satisfying cake with all of the icing and special stuff on it--they just see it and say, "Oh, that cake is too small." .... okay so that's the worst analogy ever. Point is: people who aren't really musical should SHUT UP and stop ruining my favorite songs . |

Nerdy, short answer is: you don't know. I've been in that situation and I chose friendship over an uncertain 'possible more'. I don't regret it because he is a great friend, but I always wonder 'what if'. You'll have to make that choice for yourself.
*hugs* Tess... can I have some cake? I read something about delicious cake with icing there...

Love is always complicated eh Nerdy? I hope no matter what happens you'll stay best friends.
I have been staying up waaaay too late considering I work at 9 am everyday. And I can handle being tired and miserable at work and all, but now... I have unsightly bags under my eyes! The horror! I've been pretty melancholic lately. It's like "what's the point of this?" teen angst all over again. Only much much deeper. |

I had a majorly disturbing dream about dying of cancer and losing my voice slowly till finally I only had a while left to live and I couldn't sing and could barely speak. Then I tried to kill myself.
GEEZE. O.o That was not my most favorite nap ever. Seriously. |

I really should sleep;
but then I see the sun rise, and I run out with my camera. I'm impossible. EDIT: Then again, with a sunrise like this, it's hard to stay indoors.

Very pretsy! But now that the sunrise is gone, maybe you'd better try to get some sleep?

Pretty muchly since the first date . We decided not to be 'official' about it for a bit longer, but I think we were both pretty sure right away. Just took a few more dates to be sure enough to actually say it .
And although this is the wrong thread to say it, I am seriously happier than I've been in ages and ages. Well, maybe not happy... content I guess. It's not that "oh I'm on top of the world and everything is sunshine and giggles," feeling, but more like when things in general are just going to be okay . Ah, shite! A friend added a phone to my plan recently, because they had a special limited-time offer. When I was talking to the guy while I was adding it, he told me it would increase my monthly plan by $9.99. I just looked at my bill on Sprint's website, and they simply doubled the bloody bill!!!! And I know there is no way my friend could possibly pay 40 dollars a month, so they better frickin' fix it when I call and chew them out!!!! Or else, won't I just get stuck paying it? You can't just cancel before your contract is over, right, and my friend absolutely cannot possibly pay 40 dollars a month! Oooooo...... <---pissed off

I'm clearly out of the loop; I thought it meant "Best Friend".
