Greetings from the plains of Rohan! I recently joined Entmoot and am looking forward to good company and interesting discussions.
Where I live looks like Rohan (horses, rolling hills) but, personally, I'm a lot more like an aging Hobbit (quiet, expanding waist, dislikes shoes). I'm a household chiefcookandbottlewasher and like baking and equine miniatures in addition to all things Middle Earth. Happy to make your aquaintance here! |

Wooot! A fella with my kinda intrests. I wish I lived where it looks like Rohan. I'm living in something that more resembles Gondor. Except it's more like the Grey City for all the rain and blah. Give me my open fields and my horse and I am happy.
Glad to have you on the board my good sir... (or madam. These things are tricky online...)

Welcome, Sian. I look forward to posting with you.
where I live is a mixture of Rohan, Gondor and Mirkwood. In other words, some places are pastures and horses, Part looks like Gondor, and a whole lot of it is wooded. I live across the street from Greenwood

Gimli! Yooo! Once an Angy Dwarf, always and angry dwarf! Long time no see, if you even remember me. Stick around, and never mind with the newer ninnies.
Good to have you Madam Sian. I actually do live in the country side and work on a ranch. But I'm in the city now going to college. And sometimes I'm even in the Far East, past Harad. If you want horse country, and handsome horses there is where it's at!

Hello, moot.
I felt an obligation to introduce myself to any group that passed around snacks from the Vicarage at Dibley while mulling topics in the Shire.
I shall now attempt to remain quiet for the minimum 9 months it would take me to choose a suitably witty sig line. I shall enjoy catching up, however. Greetings. |

Um, yes...so....Hello.
I've worked as an actor on stage for seven years, and I'm not quitting anytime soon. I was born in Cork County, Ireland, and have lived in Indiana in the US, and presently live in Porvoo, Suomen tasavalta (Finland). Subsequently, I have played parts in Finnish, German, and English productions. I also happen to enjoy Tolkien. Interesting facts: I didn't much care for Jackson's films. Believe it or not, I prefer Ralph Bakshi's cartoon, and wish he'd had the funds to finish it (and had learned Saruman's name...) The Silmarillion is my favorite book, but it's rather lucky that I ran across it. I was 6 when my father read me The Hobbit, and when I was 12 I read The Lord of the Rings (I'd just moved to Indiana, and classmates made fun of me for reading such a large book). However, I'd tried to start The Silmarillion, but found it too dense. I really wasn't interested. Then, my literature teacher commented that there was a character named Maedhros who's real name was Maitimo. My name is Maitimo Ylihärsilä (need help saying the last name? Hear it pronounced here), and although Maitimo is a fairly common surname, I'd never met anyone who had it as a first name. After that, my lit teacher told me little tidbits about the Feanorions before class every day, and I was soon interested. I tried again. Maedhros has been my favourite character ever since.
