Dark side...
Do you have an interest in or a fascination with the macabre?

Not me! In fact, I find that kind of stuff to be incredibly boring and stupid.

Must admit that I do. Reading about characters like Vlad Tepes, Elizabeth Bathory, and the like fascinates me. The Countess's atrocities are just so...bizaare, something you will likely not read about many people. In fact, many of the folk who gave birth to vampire or werewolf legends fascinate me. I remember a while back their was a documentary about Ed Gein (sp?) on cable (I was at a friend's house), and I just absorbed it. Also, documentaries on the legends of vampires and other similar creatures intrigue me as well.
Well? Am I the only Mooter with a dark side?

I don't get it! If the stuff is true, I am sickened, and my psyche is damaged by another image of pain and suffering. If it's fiction, it's so silly, I get the strong feeling of "someone needs a real life here"! I am a practical sort. Do you find the perversion titillating?
You are not the only Mooter with a Dark side! We might have to change the parameters of your "fan club" though. "Creepy, polite guy with long hair"? (sorry!)

Titillating? *runs over to dictionary.com*
O. Well, that depends on which definition you refer to...

I'm hypersensitive to that stuff, so I don't really delve into it. I get creepy nightmares really quickly. Darkness in fiction bothers me. I still can't read the section in FotR about the Black riders at night with out getting scared. Even the Goblet of Fire bothered me the first time I read it.

Do you get "excited"? Not really sexually, but a little bit, maybe....eyes get wide, breathing slows, you find yourself going over the material several times, because it almost "feels good"? Heh, heh!

Sometimes, it's the ones you least suspect...
EDIT: I wasn't worried, just curious.

Goodness me, yes, I love Poe. Favorite non-fantasy author, no question. A sheer genius.
But that wasn't what I was talking about. Though I suppose any sort of dark side is acceptable.
