What do you think your christmas presents are?

I think i'm getting a CD player becaus e i asked for one and my old one broke.I'll probably be getting some new books.I hope i get Lireal by Garth Nix,And Lyra's Oxford by Phillip Pullman.

I hope that your dog doesn't get wrapped up with a fancy bow on top.
ANd remember "A dog is for life not just for christmas"

Awesome! My sister tried to teach me a few years ago, but I never continued so...I did learn to knit, though. And am knitting a friend a hat for christmas. I hope I can finish it in time!!!

I have noooooo idea what I am getting.

I wuv cross-stitching, but I'm not very good. (That pattern looks complex, but is really quite easy.)

My mom always just asks me what I want for Christmas, and gets me that. I'm hard to get presents for, because I try not to need much in the way of stuff.

I'm probably also getting some beads, given my little beading fetish.

I believe I'm getting a watch from my girlfriend. I made a comment several weeks ago about how my watch was held together with duct tape (it really is). Then the other day she said that I had made a comment that made her think that I'd like what she got me. The idea of a watch began to grow in my mind for some reason. So, to test my theory, today in Wal-Mart I picked up a watch that I liked and said, "This is a cool watch." Then, like 5 minutes later, she said that she had an inkling that I would like my present, hence re-inforcing my suspicion. I have an intuition about these things.

About the whole watch thing -- forget about it. I told my girlfriend that I knew what it was and anyway, it went from there and she swears that it isn't a watch. I am really bumfuzzled now.

She could also be trying to put you on the wrong track. My family and I always put ourselves through quite a bit of trouble to prevent the others guessing what they'll get as present.

My suspisions are confirmed! I called QVC last night, and ordered my Christmas present.... 3.2 something fuji digital camera...on easy pay!

Yes, I'm getting what I thought I would get!

I've told my son he is NOT getting a "Video Now", and come to find out, my husband has bought him one!

(they weren't as expensive as I thought they were) I think my little guy believes me...I hope this doesn't backfire, with him saying he changed his mind and doesn't want one anymore.

There is nothing more depressing for a parent than to buy presents (you usually can't afford) that you really think your children will like, only to get the pouty face, tears, or silent treatment (and refusal to eat the Christmas dinner you have slaved over all day) because they are "dissapointed".

I think the parent feels worse than the child, and at that point, the only place left to go is anger.

I really don't think it is. She thought that I had already figured out what it was and I knew for sure that it was a watch. We were talking about it without actually naming it and then she said something about it being more expensive if you get different pieces. That stopped me in my tracks and I was like "It is a watch, isn't it?" and then she told me it wasn't, but she could see how I took the hints that way. My brain is fried. Oh well. It'll be a good surprise.
