Goblins & Orcs
Just something to clear up... hmmm maybe I wouldn't have these questions if I just read the letters.... oh well.
In the hobitt Tolkien talks of the Goblins. In LOTR there are orcs. Are they the same? When reading I just assume that the orcs are the goblins, but it was just some time since the 2 books were written that he had changed the names. Further, were the goblins from the hobitt present in LOTR? I know that in Mordor there were some orcs that were not from Mordor. Are they the same? |

I think that goblins were smaller orcs and they only lived in the Misty Mountains....but I do believe that all goblins are Orcs
