Gandalf What animal would be perfect for each of the in the fellowship?

I was thinking about this a while ago. If the whole trilogy was transfered into animals. What animals would be the best for each of the 9 in the fellowship. This was based on personality i guess, but oh well. You can make more animals for more peeps. Well heres my idea!

Frodo-Guinea Pig
Sam-Rabbit
Merry-Mink
Pippin-Otter
Aragorn-Wolf
Legolas- Fox
Gimli-Mole
Borimir-Badger
Gandalf-Owl

~not the greatest reference. I'll think of better ones later, but im running out of time

Some of these aren't from the fellwoship, but oh well.....

Bill Ferney- ferret or weasel, I can tell.
Legolas (or any elf, for that matter)- Arabian horse (graceful, elegant)
Barliman Butterbur- cow (slow, caustious)

I'm thinking Frodo would be a doe, a female deer. Refrain from asking why.

He said: "Get up, you tom-fool of a Took! Where, in the name of wonder, in all this ruin is Treebeard? I want him. Quick!"'

'What are we going to do now then?' asked Pippin, undaunted by the wizard's bristling brows.
"Knock on the door with your head, Peregrin Took,' said Gandalf. 'But if that does not shatter them, and I am allowed a little peace from foolish questions, I will seek for the opening words.'

'Fool of a Took!' he growled. 'This is a serious journey, not a hobbit walking-party. Throw yourself in next time, and then you will be no further nuisance. Now be quiet!'

Well considering the fact that he's always scared and has huge eyes...I can see the deer image!!!!

Frodo: Mouse (not afraid to bite if cornered or caught)
Sam: Australian Shepherd (protective and obedient)
Merry:Robin (cheerful, yet intelligent)
Pippin: Dolphin (playful, cute, and shrewd...sort of)
Legolas: Falcon (sharp eyed and a ruthless hunter)
Wormtongue: Rat (Slimy, gross, and...nuff said)
Saruman: Cobra (Deadly, and can spit from afar)
Gandalf: Hawk (can see through lots of things)
Gimli: Shrew (small, yet feisty)
Aragorn: Wolf (noble, team fighter, good wanderer)
Slainte,
Sam.

Right with you Gimli7410, he may have toiled underground, but he was never blind and defenceless when he came out for a breath of fresh air!

But can a dwarf win over a hobbit? Not in my book. I think that a mole is a bit too nearsighted for a dwarf, of course their eyes aren't as sharp as an elves (or a hobbits), but they aren't blind. I'd think that maybe a hyrax, or maybe a coney, or a rock chuck would suit Gimli better because they live in cliffs, and rocks and other such hard stuff.
Cheers all you dwarvish fans,
Sam the hobbit fan.

Sure a dwarf will win in a sword or axe fight, but would a dwarf beat a hobbit in, say, hitting tin cans with a stone? I reckon it all depends on the competition.

My friend and I always used to take all our stuffed animals and 'act' out Lord of the Rings.

Here's the cast:

Frodo- squirrel
Gandalf- an owl
Sam- a puppy
Merry- baby fox
Pippin- baby fox (but different color )
Aragorn- tiger
Legolas- bird
Gimli- gorilla
Boromir- bear

Saruman- a weird looking dinosaur
Sauron- Garfield (it also doubles for the cave troll in Moria )
Arwen, Galadriel, Eowyn- different bunnies

Legolas - a cat because he's quick, light on his feet and has very
good eyesight.
Gimli - errrr... a rhino
Frodo - a fish (well Elijah)
Sam - an owl (i have no idea why)
Merry and Pippin - Guinnea Pigs (cute)
Gandalf - White Horse

You know what i'm rubbish at this!
I'll leave it at this! The only one that i genuinally agree with is Legolas as a Cat and Gimli as a rhino! I don't know about the others!

hey! thats not funny about legolas!! i happen to like him

i happen to like legolas and he is not a skunk or other animal that no one likes i mean come on there are more websites on legolas and orlando bloom than jrd or gimli aren't there? so that would have to make him more liked somehow i fail to see your point on no one liking him but oh well i won't argue because i know i am right *wink wink* this only applies to what gimli7410 said lol
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
and now on the subject matter:

frodo:dog(the puppy dog eyes give him away)
sam: snake (seeing that he likes to garden) if you get my point
pippin: fox (cunning and sneaky;trickster) he jokes aroud a lot
merry: mink (i happen to like minks too)
legolas: eagle ( because elven eyes can see over long distances)
boromir: kangaroo ( i don't know why but he just reminds me of 1)
aragorn: bear ( he is a born leader like bears and their young)
gandalf: goat (the beard is a little much for me but no offense)
gimli: a chow chow( all the hair i mean come on j/k i like chows )
