They are one of the most misleading bands outside of Avril Lavigne. They are poseurs, misinformed and claim to be 'Christian punk rockers.'

Am I the only one that hates them?

I think what you mean is misled. They're ska, but something has apparently led them to believe they're punk. And even disregarding their poserality they're not good, whatever genre they want to slip into.

this thread needs to be closed, you can't debate taste in music, everyone is different, all that this thread is doing is giving people the opportunity to rant about how bad a particular band is and make false accusations about the character of the members in this particular band, think what would happen if i made an ANTI AC-DC thread, it would be closed withing the hour that i posted it, close this thread

Closing this thread is not your call, and if someone didn't want to discuss it then why bring it back? It is a two year old thread. If you do not wish to participate in the discussion or read the posts, that is your choice.

I suggest you re-read the rules regarding questioning of moderator calls in open forum.

I wouldn't quite call Relient K ska. I would put them in the Pop/Punk genre. I also wouldn't call them posers since I've never heard the band call themselves punk. I saw them in concert and they were awesome. I'm sorry you guys don't like them because I think you're missing out on some awesome music

i think i just found out they got their name from a car. it is an old plymouth and it had reliant and then a little k beside it . but im not sure if thats how they got it
