March Madness
ITS TOURNEY TIME BABY!! AWSOME BABY!! So the pools on. Who's in? It all starts Thursday. Gimme your winners and impress me and everyone else. Best score gets a fabulous prize. Brackets arehere .
If you have no clue what Im talking about here: this is for the American National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Basketball championship. 64 of the best teams in the country. Single elimination. Win or go home. Only the best sporting event on earth. Anyway its great tradition to start up office pools and such all over the country (and world). So if yer interested let me know Im running one. Or just tell me who you think is gonna get to the final four if you dont want to go all out.

Alright Dickey V, calm down. I haven't had time to make all my predictions yet, but I must point out that there are 3 teams from the great state of Alabama in the tourney. (Auburn, Alabama, and Troy State) I don't know how many people are going to get into March Madness here because typically sports threads don't do all that well (except for that World Cup thread).

Congrats although I dont know how far any of those teams will go really. Bama might win a couple games. And its always amusing hearing picks on sites like this because the people who generally have no clue tend to be the ones that always win. its always the secretary or someones 8 year old kid. never fails.

Here's one of my theories on tournament upsets and sleepers: watch out for state universities that aren't really states. Example: Troy State. See, Troy isn't a state, so watch out.
Therefore these are some teams to watch out for after a quick glance at the bracket: Troy State, Weber State, and Sam Houston State. It's strange, but that's how it seems to work sometimes.

I checked too. Both colleges I attended are up! IUPUI (Indiana University, Purdue University at Indianapolis, a great urban campus with a funny name! ) and Butler, a small old-style college, also in Indianapolis, famous for it's school of dance. The High School finals scenes in the movie "Hoosiers" were shot at Hinkle Field House, on the Butler campus. So ....5 From Indiana. IU, IUPUI, Notre Dame, Purdue (close to where I live!) and Butler! Go Hoosiers! I hope at least one of them makes the first cut!
I'm a loyal sort, I root for the home team, no matter what! (Go Pacers!) Poor IUPUI has to play the #1 team, I think.

Ok well heres your chance to win fabulous prizes so if you are interested in submitting some picks go to this link and youll find a little thing that says tournamententry. Its real easy. you just click down on the teams you want to win and then hit submit and hopefully it will come to me. After you do that you might want to SAVE AS a copy for yourself before you close the window just in case. Good luck!! Let me know if it does anything weird or if you have any questions.

Woo-hoo! My beloved Auburn Tigers won their first round game. Who says they don't belong in the tournament?
