oooh. I'm bursting at the seams with excitement.
Yeah she deserves it and all but is the government spending all that money on celebrations worth it? I mean hello! NHS problem here! But anyway, yeah i'm happy for her. It'll be interesting to see how different people celebrate.

The monarchy is inseperable from the nation.

I wouldn't go to any of the concerts, but I'm happy to celebrate. I think the Queen and the monarchy are wonderful, be sarcastic if you like but I don't care!
Radagast, the Queen Mother died at the end of March. Is that what you meant?

Yeah mate, shes just a symbol now, the monarchy dont do much to run the country. Mainly stuff like: > Charity work > Ambassador visits > Hand Out MBEs, Knighhoods, OBE's etc... > Own lots of money > And property > Be in the newspapers > Eat posh lunches, and afternoon tea. andy

Well the queen is still our head of state in Australia and she comes here every few years to wave at old ladies I think. We had a referendum a few years ago and the majority of people voted for her to stay head of state. Nobody really cares here except womens magazines.
What are the concerts about? Anyone good going to be there?

If any of our cousins over the pond want to buy her,you can have her - shes yours for a doughnut . If you really want to know what liz does ......join the queue , because none of us know - she waves at us commoners and then goes back to one of her many homes/castles and laughs at the strange scruffy little people . she also spends lots of our dosh , along with her children ,cousins neices etc etc - up the revolution , King Ellesar was never like that.

Indeed, the Queen is the English Head of State, she is a symbol of power.
Yes, the Prime Mimister and the Cabinet and the House of Lords and the House of the Commons run the country but her word carries a lot of weight.

What is given in tourism and the Crown Estates far outweighs the money spent to keep it.
