The evilness of technology

What is it with computers? Whenever I go within a one mile radius of anything with an electric circuit it decides to attack me? Take today I was in the libary with Dwarven Sen (with hat) and Elfmaster XK when this giant spark attacked me and now I have a numb hand? And now I have TRIPLE biology I will now go and have a nervous/teenage crisis.

technology doesn't work well with me either. I can kill a photocopier just by being in the same room as it. My computer is friendly so it doesn't attack me. I don't trust foreign computers because they would problebly unexpectedly die on me within a few minutes. Technology doesn't attack me, it just stops working when I am near it.

The best way to discipline a photocopier is to stab it w/ a pair of scissors But only if your not expecting it to work ever again. (or at least, ever again w/out the help of the friendly photocopy repair man)

ditto Noldo.

Elendili, are you okay?

Elendili is fine now and she was just over-complaining then but I do believe that her leg went numb. She's a little accident prone and just tried walking through chairs and a book case.
LEAVE THE HAT ALONE my hat is mine and she is an elendili belly (private insult) Idont see her problem with my hat. The people i know gett their toasters to work by sticking knives in them but only one doesn't switch the electricity off first. Elf master XK may be a while in typing while the burns heal.

I have gone as far as threatining a photocopier, but I haven't gone so far as stabbing one. Usually the photocopier has already died on me when the threatining happens, so I don't think it could hear me anyway while threatening it. It wouldn't feel the scissors anyway when it is in that state.
I think I have done the same thing with toasters before. I have never gotten shocked from it, at least not yet. If I was smart, I would change my behavior. I wonder if that will ever happen.

the photocopier at the office where I work during the summer has now gone into semi-retirement. Ever since then, it has been relatively well behaved. I now do battle with the xerox printer.

Be not afraid of the machines. They are not evil; just misunderstood. Who knows; maybe they are more afraid of you than you are of them. When all else fails, send them to the recyclers so they can be put to sleep. BTW, there is no need to have them neutered.

Not all machines are evil, but some definitely are. The worst are the ones that know you are in a hurry and need them to work--now! I needed to 5 copies a 20-page proposal, and fast. I was scheduled to attend a meeting shortly, and would have been on time, but just barely. The monster jammed halfway through. I followed the directions to clear the jam, which may be written for idiots but I am clearly not an idiot because I could not understand them. I finally called for the secretary who is the keeper of the beast. She cleared the jam and finished the job. I was 10 minutes late for the meeting. The next time I passed the copier, I swore I could hear it laughing.

One truly evil machine I saw was in a movie based on a novel called "Christine" about a car. Anyone, watch that?

And read the book. It was great. The car seemed to be possessed, and possessed those who took possession, turned them evil-- like the One Ring. I think a lot of people are possessed by their cars. People pay a lot of money for a status symbol, a means of expression, etc. To me, it's just a mode of transportation. I think of myself as the Tom Bombadil of automobile owners.

Yeah. when my dad used to bring me to school and there was a traffic jam, he'd drive it through the muddy side of the road. I asked him if he was concerned with the paintjob, he said he bought the car to serve him, and not the other way around.

Estel was Aragorn's name when he was a kid. I just realized that he wasn't old enough to understand any word his dad would have said because he died soon after Aragorn was born.

However, he IS of powerful lineage and may have actually understood and argued with his dad. I just don't think it will set a good example for kids in the moot if an infant talks back to his parents.

I mean, we don't want Tater getting all these letters of concern from angry parents do we?
