Can I have a complete and total description of how everything works in middle earth, in writing, with ledgible print, nonpersihable ink, and non-aside paper?

I'd add to that: with sketches of the dark lord Sauron in all his forms.

What brand of toilet paper do you prefer?
What? Oh, like you don't want to know what sort of toilet paper he used.

Mr Tolkien, how does it feel to have (sub)created an entire world?

And detailed sketches of balrogs and elven ears.
Honestly, Inoldonil, I don't care what toilet paper he used.

Who or what was Tom bombadill ? Btw one question isnt enough, unless you're clever like Wayfarer and think of a question that covers everything.
Maybe Tolkien used newspaper instaed, well some people do, really they do.

Don't bother with the Bombadil question, you won't get a straight answer.
Here's my question: "How can we ever thank you enough?' I think he got a lot of that in his later years, and grew sick of it. Still its what I would say. ...and Wayfarer...What if he gave you what you wanted? What would we have left to debate? |

My one question would be "Could I spend a day talking with you?"

If I could ask him just one question it would be: "What in your life caused you to create Middle Earth?" No matter how much all of us love 'The Hobbit', the bottom line is all of that world belongs to Mr. Tolkien. Thankfully, he most graciously shared it with the world. When I need someplace to go, I just "hike" to Middle Earth.

You're asking for too much. It deserves an essay. Ultimately you have to buy some History of Middle-earth books and decide for yourself, though Christopher often points out his own errors and misgivings. Volumes X and XI would be particularly useful to you.

Well it couldn't be worse than what Wayfarer was asking for. And at least he wouldn't have been able to wiggle out of it by saying: "Er, No!"
I'm still trying to save up for that set of books, though. Thanks Ñólendil.

Would you care if all the entmooters decided to permanently camp out on your front yard? Or would it be better to move in next door?
