Susan Cooper
Anyone read any of her books apart from the DR searies? King of Shaddows is great, and the Boggart books, although they're really aimed at younger readers. There are some others, too, but I haven't been able 2 find them.

Re: Susan Cooper
Other than DR (which we have a thread about here), I've only read the first Boggart... way back when I was about nine. It was... interesting, to say the least. I enjoyed it.
Susan Cooper was always one of the authors most highly recommended to me then... |

Re: Susan Cooper
DR were actually some of my least favourite, because of the ending.
I have only met a few other people who had even read them. Mind u, not many of my friends r great readers. |

Re: Susan Cooper
Hmmm... I've read all of her books that my library has, but I've never heard of "The King of shaddows". I'll have to look for it. Thanks!

Re: Susan Cooper
I only know of the DR series and one or two others. Maybe some of those only exist in England

Re: Susan Cooper
Doubt it, as many of the books were actually written in america. I've had trouble getting hold of some of the others too, but finally found one in the library. It's called Seaward. U read/heard of?

Re: Susan Cooper
Yes, I've heard of it... never read it or even seen it around, though. I think there's two of those, too.

Re: Susan Cooper
Yes... I have now read it, and it was incredibly strange. I've seen worse, though. U have 2 be into that kinda thing, which I am. Not one of her best books, though.

Re: Susan Cooper
I thought it was pretty good, it would be a good fantasy/mythology basis for a series, at least in my eyes... too bad it was self contained.
